Abstract

The health services is the most important services provided by the city for its inhabitants, for its direct relationship to human life, and for being a prime factor of development, given the strong relationship between health standards and development, asis the level of health, expressing trends development in any part of the world.
The aim of the study is to determine the nature and form of distribution of the Governmental hospital sites in the city of Erbil by using the method of statistical and contemporary techniques, also the detection of glitches in it.
In order to reach the goal has been dealt with the subject of the study in two axes, in the first axis, the urban development of the city of Erbil and the growth of its hospitals and their distribution have been studied, but the second axis has concentrated on the spatial distribution characteristics of the Governmental hospitals and the pattern of their spread, finally the study reached some conclusions, most notably that Governmental hospitals been distributed in unbalanced form in the study area, which is reflected on their functional efficiency.
