Abstract
The research is based on an analytical study of poetic description in the stories of the two sets of ((“homoom shajarat al bamber” & “ta’ir al khaleeg”/in English “worries of sea tree, and the Gulf’s bird”)) for Narrator: Kazem Al-Ahmadi. The research starts with the introduction which deals with the concepts of identifying search terms: poetry, and description.
The search consists of three sections, the first includes forms of description, a description of personality , description of the event and the description of place, and the description of thing means all that interacts with personality or other elements, or serves part of them in one way or another. It also deals with the descriptions in the stories under discussion.
The second section tackles patterns of description, such as the simple, compound, taxonomic and expressionist descriptions. This classification of patterns is based on the descriptive details directed by technique of the description of the described {character, event, place, thing} and then comes the third section, which includes functions of description: three-specific functions, classified on the basis of what aim or goal the description gives to the described thing. These functions are decorative. They provide the described thing aesthetic dimensions. while the second function: deluding function to delude the reader of the fact of the imagined read world. The third function seeks to explain, interpret and clarify what description treats of the stuffs and assets for some purpose that serves some aspect of the narrative events, such as personal life, their actions and behavior, events, places, and other components.
