Abstract

This study aims to shed light on the evolution of each of marriage and divorce cases in Dohuk Governorate, according to the districts for the period (2008 - 2015) Being the promise of controversial issues lately, especially the subject of divorce as it is believed that it has risen dramatically, prompting the official data on the subject collection, extraction of general rates, as the high rate figures raw does not indicate anything of reality.
Subject has been divided Thread on four axes: the first one composed the evolution of the phenomena (marriage and divorce) in the governorate, while the second focuses on the evolution of the marriage by the districts, and the third on the phenomenon of divorce by district, and ending with the fourth about the reasons for divorce in general in Dohuk governorate, Moreover the study it ended with the group of conclusions, most important that the marriage rate rose by 3.2%, while the divorce rate did not rise only 0.3% during the study
