Abstract
Satire is considered as the highest genre in literary criticism, side by side with journalism. Through satire, negative and disgusting points of society are exposed to the public in a satiric way.This kind of literature, which is known as satire in the Western World, is known as TANZ in Persian language.Satire is based on jokes and laughs but it is not for the sake of laughing, it is not the laugh of supremacy and pleasure but it is a bitter truth that is shown through satire. It attempts to shed light on the misconducts and sins of the society and aims at purifying the society and putting the people on the right track
