Abstract

The summaryThis research entitled “Zahawi’s Lamentation between Imagination and Affectation “is critical and analytic study guided by stylistic method .from the famous poem ‘The Wailer’ in which he lamented a group of Syrian and Lebanese martyrs who were executed in 1916 by the order of Jamal Pasha for Their opposing the Ottoman’s rule over their countries ,The critics and the researchers regarded the poem as a high and selected sample of Arabic poetry in the twentieth century in both aspects :artistic and attitude .The researcher tries to verify the process of the aesthetical imagination of the poem and the true emotion concluded from it, being a literary response to a serious excitement and being written by a poet having a big literary fame throughout the Classic Arabic poetry ,This is achieved through an introduction in order to explain the items of the little and to define the poem and the poets style in general ,in addition ,there are two studying pivots to analyze the text on two level :imagination and expression ,with a conclusion and a list of the references and summary in English .
