Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore reveal the level of emotional intelligence among sulaimani polytechnic university students,. The sample of the study consisted of (223) male and female students who were randomly selected. A questionnaire of 58 items distributed on five dimensions: management of emotions, empathy, organizing emotions, emotional knowledge and social networking was administered. The results of the study were the following: The degree of emotional intelligence is high in all fields, The study showed no statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample due to the variable of gender, The researcher recommended holding workshops and training courses to university students to further identification of the areas of emotional intelligence.
