Abstract

Abstract:This study aimed to uncover the reality of using educational aids in teaching social studies at the intermediate level in the governorate of Kirkuk from the point of view of supervisors and teachers, in terms of the degree of availability and use, and the impact of some variables, and the study tool consisted of a questionnaire whose validity and reliability were verified, and the study sample was formed. Of (138) of them (26) supervisors and (112) teachers and schools were chosen by the random stratified method, and the results of the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are:First: The number of educational aids required to teach social studies at the intermediate level reached (41) educational methods, and the degree of their availability from the teachers ’point of view varied between (high, medium, and low).Second: The use of social education teachers for teaching aids in the middle stage, in general (total), came within the medium degree of use.Third: There is a correlation between the degree to which teachers of a subject of social use in the middle stage of teaching aids, and the obstacles to their use.In light of these results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: Providing educational aids in governmental middle schools, especially technical ones such as computer software and the Internet, activating their use, and organizing training courses for teachers on how to use educational aids, especially modern technology.
