Abstract
Abstract In Kurdish language, the verb “habun” is apolysemous word having variety of meanings and has a number of defining features. The present study entitled “The Verb “habun” meaning Existence” explores and examines the grammatical characteristics of the verb “habun” paying a special attention to the analysis of its structures, forms and tenses as well as studying of the types of subjects used with it. Through a descriptive analysis of the verb, the study concludes that it is a modal verb that does not have various forms and tenses and it is an intransitive verb. Morever, it is not acompound verb.
