Abstract

This study deal with paradox in the poetry of Bashar Bin Al-Berd. It is an attempt to consider some selected examples in a way that fits the poet's situation in formulating the general form of paradox however small it is. This serves in identifying the richness of the poetic text and its subject matter especially that the text may have some explanation that differs from other explanations of a certain poetic text on the same topic, but breaking the scope of prediction, which is built on the verbal or the implied paradox hindered the access to the end of the text when the poet aimed, through that, to make the delight of the text flows through situations that had different functions that give the text clear and distinctive peculiarity that had many characteristics both on the verbal and the implied levels of recognition
