During World War II, the Zionist transition to the United States began. Following the victory of the Allies in the Battle of El Alamein, the balance of power changed and world politics changed. The effects on the Palestinian cause were reversed and the Zionist center of gravity shifted to the United States. The transformation of Zionist policy from Britain to the United States of America was not sudden or rapid, but the policy was transformed through quiet preparatory transitional steps at a time when it was also moving in a balanced line to obtain British-American support. The Arab East US support has begun to be evident in helping to establish a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine.
