The orphan phenomenon is one of the important social phenomena, as it worsened after the American occupation of Iraq in 2003 and the consequent political and security conditions that were reflected negatively on the political, economic and social reality, as this phenomenon began to grow after the events of 2014 and the Hawija district became under the control of terrorist groups that committed the most heinous crimes of killing Kidnapping and displacement, and many families became dependent on them other than parents. . So this study came to know the demographic, economic and social characteristics to reach its actual size and the spatial distribution of this phenomenon, and to identify the economic and social problems that orphans suffer from, and to clarify the reasons for this phenomenon because orphans are most affected by the exacerbation of the death phenomenon, as well as knowing the future expectations of the orphan phenomenon because Prediction is one of the basic indicators because of its great importance in any country that follows the policy of planning and sustainable human development to paint the image of the future.
