Abstract
This research paper entitled 'Sheikh Marif and story' consists of an introduction two parts list of references and the abstract in Arabic and English.The first part is about Sheikh Marif and his stories where the concept of narration, its functions and types as well as the types of narration have been explored. The econd part deal with theaims and reasons behind narration in Sheikh Marif's stories particularly description, dialogue and monologue. Monologuemake up both direct and indirect monologue and the tream ofconsciousness.
