Abstract
Summary The Islamic world witnessed a wide intellectual movement in various fields of science and literature during the Abbasid era (132-656 AH / 750-1258 AD). Many motives were created for this activity. Study and research in various fields of science and literature. Since the Islamic conquest, the city of Daquq has become the base of Koura Bagrami (present-day Kirkuk), becoming an important political and military center because of its privileged position between three important geographic regions namely the Al-jazerah, Al-jebal, and the Al-sawad. The Abbasid, where prominent scholars and writers evolved contributed to the revival of the intellectual movement in that era, and their contributions and participation in many fields of science and literature, leaving their mark on the Islamic civilization in general, and intellectual movement in that era in particular. The subject of this study revolves around the contributions of scholars and poets of Daquq in the fields of science and literature of that era. They became famous in that era and contributed to the intellectual movement inside or outside Daquq.
