Abstract
An analytical study aims to clarify the general and specific objectives of the Qur’anic surahs, and to determine methodological rules for exploring these objectives. The research paper begins with an introduction that highlights the importance of this field, as studying the objectives of the Holy Qur’an is important for specialists in Islamic studies and interpretation, as it goes beyond details to generalities and objectives, and helps interpreters gain a deeper understanding of the Qur’an and perform duties as intended by the Lawgiver. The study contributes to renewing interpretation and enriching scientific content in this field. The study aims to prove that each Qur’anic surah has a specific objective that complements the general objectives of the Holy Qur’an. It also seeks to clarify the difference between the different objectives and to determine comprehensive and consistent rules for revealing them.
The study discusses several axes, including the rule of openings, which deals with the types of openings in the surahs and their meanings, and the rule of endings, which explains the types of endings of the surahs and their meanings of the objectives, and it also reviews the rule of repetition and its importance in the Qur’anic text. The results indicate the importance of the Maqasid interpretation as an effective tool in renewing the methods of the science of interpretation. This study is a valuable contribution to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the Holy Quran
