Abstract
The political and ideological transformations that followed World War II (1939-1945) had a clear impact on the cultural and social reality of Iraqi women, particularly in the field of media. Iraqi society began to open up to the active participation of women in media, specifically in print, radio, and television, during the subsequent decades of the 20th century. This had a significant reflection on the reality and role of women in the city of Kirkuk during the study period.
This study aims to shed light on the role and media activities of women in Kirkuk during the years 1946-1979, through the study's main Topics. The first topic includes the role of Kirkuk women in journalism and literary works during 1946-1979. The second topic discusses the role of Kirkuk women in radio and television during the same period. The third topic addresses the impact of women's media on public opinion in Kirkuk. Additionally, the study includes a conclusion and a list of sources and references.
