Abstract
The Abbasid state went through several crises, including political, intellectual and decade-long crises. The crisis differed from one era to another, and sometimes there was a similarity between crises. Therefore, in this thesis, we addressed the ways in which crises were dealt with, as each caliph in the Abbasid era had a way of dealing with the crisis. Sometimes it was dealt with politically through promises and financial failures, as in the case of the crown prince, and some were dealt with intellectually, such as the crisis of Al-Muqtarala, which was a series of crises and strife and continued throughout the reign of three caliphs, alkhalifuh Al-Ma’mun, alkhalifuh Al-Moatasem, and alkhalifuh Al-Wathiq, and ended during the reign of alkhalifuh Al-Mutawakkil. Military crises that were unjust were resolved militarily and peace was used, such as the Babak Khorrami movement, Al-Maziar, and Al-Narat, which occurred in different regions in Khorasan and Iraq, all of which were resolved, but some of them were expensive, such as the killing of Caliph Al-Amin and alkhalifuh Al-Mutawakkil. The caliph who dealt with crises most diplomatically was alkhalifuh Abu Jaafar Al-Mansur, who eliminated all crises with a wise policy.
