Abstract

((The Reason behind the university of Kirkuks Women students Decline from playing Basketball))
This paper aims at studying the most important obstacles that hinder the university women students from playing Basketball . In order to realize this aim , 194 women students were chosen randomly from the college of education in Kirkuk university .
After the questionnaires were distributed among them and seeing the result through some statistic means , the following findings were discovered :

The social view about this game and sports in general is still backward . This will make the women students decline from playing this game in particular .
The dense duties imposed on the students in the college and at home hinder the women student from exercising sports .
The researcher has the following recommendations :
1- Trying to remove the society negative view about this game and changing it into a positive view . Besides , trying to remove the obstacles that make the women student unable to play this game .
2- Returning the subject of physical Education in secondary school , and other Educational institutions to remove fear and shyness from playing this game .
