Abstract

This researg entitled ( al- sheikh khdr al-kurdy al-mahrany and his role and effect in Egypt and Syria ) al- sheikh khdr was one of the sufi ( mystic ) character who had special relation with sultan al-dhahr baybris (658- 676 h ) .
Thy study consists of an introduction , five subjects and conclusion , the first subject approaches the name and parentage of al- sheikh , the second subject concetratrates his biography beginning from hisearly life and transition to Syria . the third subject deals with the relationship between sheikh and sultan al- dhahr baybris with increase of sheikh influence and authority in mamluk stats , the forth subject approaches the importance of his civilization activities in Egypt and Syria especially in field of construction , the fifth subject is concerned with studding of the end of the sheikh role by imprisonment hem and finally his death in jail at 676 h
