ABSTRACT
THE RESEARCH AIMS AT :
1- A. RECOGNIZING LEVELS OF (REFLECTIVE- IMPULSIVE) FOR THE SAMPLE AS A WHOLE, ACCORDING TO SEX, EDUCATION DIRECTORATE, AND SERVICE PERIOD.
2- A. RECOGNIZING LEVELS OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SAMPLE AS A WHOLE , ACCORDING TO SEX, EDUCATION DIRECTORATE, AND SERVICE PERIOD.
3- FINDING OUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE REFLECTIVE- IMPULSIVE AND THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SAMPLE AS A WHOLE, ACCORDING TO SEX VARIABLES, EDUCATION DIRECTORATE, AND SERVICE PERIOD.
THE RESEARCHERS SET A SCALE FOR COGNITIVE STYLES (REFLECTIVE- IMPULSIVE) ,FINDING ITS VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY, AND DEPEND ON (OTHMAN ,1973) MEASUREMENT TO MEASURE THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
THE SCALES HAVE BEEN APPLIED TO A SAMPLE OF (178) HEAD TEACHERS FROM BOTH SEXES SELECTED AT RANDOM FROM THREE GENERAL DIRECTORATES OF (ERBIL, DUHOK, AND SULEIMANH) .
THE RESEARCHERS CONCLUDED THE FOLLOWINGS :
1. THE INDIVIDUALS OF THE SAMPLES RECORDED A HIGHER LEVEL THAN HYPOTHETICAL MEAN ACCORDING TO (REFLECTIVE – IMPULSIVE) MEASUREMENT AND THAT OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
2. THE RESULTS SHOWED NO SIGNIFICANT STATISTIC DIFFERENCE IN RELATION TO COGNITIVE STYLE (REFLECTIVE – IMPULSIVE) ACCORDING TO SEX , EDUCATION DIRECTORATE, AND SERVICE PERIOD VARIABLES.
3. NO SIGNIFICANT STATISTICAL DIFFERENCES WERE FOUND REGARDING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ACCORDING TO THE VARIABLES OF EDUCATION DIRECTORATE AND THE SERVICE PERIOD.
4. A SIGNIFICANT STATISTICAL DIFFERENCE WERE FOUND IN RELATION TO SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ACCORDING TO SEX VARIABLE IN FAVOUR OF MALES .
