Abstract
The research entitled ( The prophetic tradition bring me a pen and paper ; Its meaning and connotation : A study and Analysis ) examines and answers in an explicit and daring way a number of complicated questions, which have been raised by some of the weak-minded as a means to impugn the companions of the prophet ( peace be upon him ) . But they did a vile thing . Impugning the earliest Muhajirs (those who forsook their homes in Meca and migrated to Madina ) and the Ansars (the Helpers ; the citizens of Madina who invited the Muhajirs , and welcomed them ) is the insinuation of the devil and his deceptions, because they are the whole justice , especially the four considerate Kaliphs who are promised of paradise . A great number of the truthful sayings ( traditions ) concerning their virtues can be found by whoever reads Al- sahihein ( The two most truthful collections of traditions ) which will remove all doubts and purify his heart . There are even numerous holy verses highlighting their virtues and giving them the promise of paradise , lik His Almighty's saying : The vanguard ( of Islam) – The First of those who forsook ( Their homes ) and of those who gave them aid , and ( also ) Those who follow them in ( all ) good deeds , - Well – pleased is God with them , as are they with Him : For them hath he prepared Gardens under which rivers flow , To dwell theirin for ever : That is the supreme Felicity , " ( Attawba : 100 )
It is unanimously acknowledged that Umer Bin Al- Khattab has been one of all those who were given the promise . To think well of the companions of the most virtuous of the humans ( peace be upon him ) is the duty , which does not allow suspicion or hesitation . Their age is the best one ; no one ever doubts their being unanimously present in the best of ages , and that they never committed a vile deed after the prophet's (peace be upon him ) passing away :
We chose this honorable Prophetic tradition , which is approved by both sheikhs , whose content reads that during his sikness , four days before he passed away , the Propht ( peace be upon him ) asked those who were attending his session to bring him a paper to record some issues , Some of his companions , Umar Bin Al- Khattab ( God bless him ) was one of them , considered the subject ; after which the Prophet ( peace be upon him ) stated a number of precepts and did not write down the statement . Herein some of the Impugners ( those who challenged the truth ) who wanted to Impugn the companions of the prophet ( peace be upon him ) to belittle the position of Umar Bin Al- Khattab ( God bless him ) , and some supported them either intentionally or out of ignorance .
This study attempts to objectively enterpret the various aspects of the honorable prophetic tradition in question , and it will answer the invalid statements of the impugners .
The study falls into an introduction , four sections and a conclusion. The first section covers the accounts sated in the book the Prophet ( peace be upon him ) intended to write to his nation during his sickness when he passed away ; while the second section highlights the klericks' differences regarding the book which he intended to write . The third section tackles and answers the primary accusations made against Al- Faruq Umar Bin Al- Khattab ( God bless him ) whereas the fourth section examines the most significant of the Lawful ( Shari'a ) provision derived from the prophetic tradition , and the conclusion sums up the finding of the study .
