Abstract

Abstract
Teaching English Consonants to Arab students
The process of teaching English phonemes to learners whose native language is Arabic involves some difficulties, this is due to the non-identically of the phonemes of both languages, that leads to interference. To overcome this problem, the current study sheds light on the problematic areas.
A comparison between the articulations of the non- identical counterpart phonemes of both languages is conducted. The significant role of English teacher in helping Arab learners is clarified in the study. The study ends with some conclusions.
