Abstract
The research aims to identify the problems of study among the students of the University of Mosul, and knowledge of the problems of study among the students of the University of Mosul, according to the variables of sex and area of study, has formed the research sample of (120) students from (4) colleges (2) scientific and (2) humanity in the academic year (2011-2012), distributed in faculties (Engineering - Science - Education - Literature) of them (60) students and (60) student, and the researcher prepared a tool to measure the problems of study of university students included (35) items distributed on four areas, and after verification of validity and reliability of the tool and distributed to a sample application and after analyzing the data and treated statistically using the statistical tools appropriate results showed that college students suffer from several problems which concern the high of the study and exams, and the lack of material resources appropriate in the halls, and suffer from the large number of subjects per semester , and length of the vocabulary of subjects, as well as the results showed the existence of statistically significant differences in some of the problems experienced by university students according to variables of sex, including the lack of commitment to the teaching hours of office, and ignorance of regulations and laws of the university, and the adoption of some faculty indoctrination in the lectures, and specialization school, including the difficulty of understanding the suffering of subjects, and the weakness of the use of teaching the method of stimulation and reinforcement with the students, in light of these results was presented a number of recommendations and proposals.
