Abstract

This research entitled (The Naming process in the Preservation Kurdish Language), naming process as a social phenomenon and one of the most important processes in language. Human for the sake of giving himself identity, recognition, differentiation and classification of things, phenomena and events around him, has named himself and different things. Names reflect and mirror various aspects of human life. Therefore, Naming varies according to different nations. Because each nation has its own unique (environment, culture, history, religion, beliefs, reality, etc.). This has led to the same thing or phenomenon having different names among nations. Therefore, each nation names things based on its own understanding and worldview. In this research, we have focused on naming as it relates to Kurdish language preservation and the introduction and preservation of culture, as well as the influence of culture and society on naming, then the role and the impact of technology, globalization, and foreign languages on naming practices. Then the role and impact of technology, globalization and foreign languages ​​on naming is discussed, the connection between the naming process and national identity and the impact of naming on national identity is highlighted, Finally, the causes and sources of naming have been explained.
